Ingredients

  • 500g pork mince
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)

Method

  1. In a large bowl, put the pork mince, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, sage, thyme, red pepper flakes and maple syrup together.
  2. Mix until everything is evenly combined, taking care not to overwork the mixture.
  3. Shape the mixture into small, round patties, about 7 cm across and 1 cm thick.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C.
  5. Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway through, until the patties are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve straight away with your choice of accompaniments.
